Quite a mouthful, but the bottom line is that this is the fastest MINI Clubman
If you compare it to a standard MINI Clubman in the Cooper or Cooper S variant, it immediately stands out because of its sportier front and rear bumper. A John Cooper Works can also be recognized by the red piping in the grill. A JCW Works comes standard with 18" rims, it is optionally equipped with the 19" alloy Course Spoke rims. Behind them are special large Brembo brakes with the Works logo on the caliper as well.
It is really clever what they have done at MINI. This MINI is a whopping 1 meter 80 wide. It is only 1 centimeter less wide than a Bmw 5 Series. It just still feels like a go-kart on the road. That's due in part to the 10 mm lowered suspension but also the all-wheel drive that's standard on the Works. It just gives you really great grip, lays nicely in a corner and also steers super sharp. Under the hood is a 2 liter 4 cylinder turbocharged engine, good for 231 HP, 320 Nm of torque and a sprint from 0 to 100 in 6.3 seconds.
The car has 3 driving modes, green, mid and sport mode. When you change it from mid to sport it not only responds more sharply to your throttle response, but it also starts to steer heavier and shift up later. Also, your head up display changes and you see the JCW tachometer projected into it. And finally, when you let off the gas, you hear nice rumble from the exhaust.
This particular example is equipped with almost all options. It has sports seats with the MINI Yours leather with British accents, seat heating, head up display, a large navigation screen, wireless phone charger, Harman Kardon audio, adaptive cruise control, a fate warning and even windshield heating. It is not only a very fun car to drive but also a practical one. For example, you have 360 liters of cargo space and you can actually sit decently in the back unlike a normal MINI.
