Welcome to the second generation MINI Countryman
A MINI made on Dutch soil, namely by VDL Nedcar
To begin, I'd like to share some general info about this generation Countryman:
There are 4 gasoline engine variants available in the Countryman, the One 102 hp, the Cooper with 136 hp, the John Cooper Works with 231 hp and today we are out and about with the Cooper S with 192 hp. And that one and cooper have 3 cylinder engines, the cooper s and john cooper works 4 cylinder engines. There are also 2 diesel variants and a hybrid variant. And they are available with manual transmission, automatic and also 4 wheel drive is possible.
It has also become a really big car, for example, it is 23 centimeters longer than the first generation Countryman. And this car shares its base with the Bmw X1. It is not as sporty a MINI as, say, the 3-door where you really have that go kart feeling in it, but it is a nice smooth car that does a sprint from 0 to 100 7.2 seconds.
It has an 8-speed automatic and also the different driving modes sport, mid and green. For example, in green mode it goes out of its way to reduce fuel consumption, and if you succeed, the fish on the screen gets happier and happier. In mid mode it drives very relaxed, shifts up quietly, responds quietly to your throttle response. And in sport mode it responds quickly to your throttle, steers a little heavier and gives a nice rumble.
Like the MINI Clubman, this is not only a fun car to drive, but also a practical one. For example, you can sit spacious in the back thanks to the notch in the seats, and there is also an optional adjustable rear seat. This particular one comes with head up display, adaptive cruise control, rearview camera, electrically adjustable seats, seat heating, windshield heating, beautiful illuminated interior trim and LED headlights.
